The HPE 781577-001 SAS-12G hard drive features a data transfer rate of 1.2 Gigabytes per second, which allows all server applications to power more transactions per second. HP Enterprise SAS-12G hard drives are ideal for server applications such as transaction processing, data warehousing, and enterprise scale performance computing. 

HPE Server Enterprise hard drives come with an HPE SmartCarrier tray which displays the hard drive's activity while it is plugged into the server. HPE SmartCarrier trays secure drives to the server which reduces drive vibrations that could cause damage to the moving parts of the hard drive. The 781577-001 is for select Gen10 HPE ProLiant servers and is backwards compatible with Gen9 or earlier servers.
