The HPE Smart Array P204i-b SR has four internal SAS lanes, allowing connection to SAS or SATA drives; supports Mixed Mode operations of RAID and HBA simultaneously, and offers encryption for data-at rest on any storage device. By utilizing Mix Mode technology, you can mix between SAS storage drives and SATA storage drives.
Mixed Mode and SmartSSD Wear Gauge
With Mixed Mode enabled, you can run your server in both RAID and HBA at the same time. You can also rapidly configure simple RAID volumes on servers by using the UEFI configuration tool. You can also protect the integrity of your data with HPE SmartSSD Wear Gauge utility, which predicts when a SSD will fail, allowing you to be proactive in maintaining the integrity of your servers. HPE SmartSSD Wear Gauge Utility provides reports and alerts you when there are potential issues with your solid-state drives.
