HPE Midline Hard Drives

HPE 6 Terabyte Midline hard drives feature Time Limited Error Recovery which constrains the server hard drive to report errors encountered as soon as possible up to 5 seconds. This feature allows users to configure and limit the amount of time the hard drive’s firmware spends recovering from both read/write errors.

The HPE 846510-B21 6TB SATA 6G Midline hard drive delivers in high storage capacity and is mainly ideal for low I/O environments. HPE Midline hard drives provide a far greater amount of storage capacity without having to sacrifice in performance due to their 6Gb/s data transfer rates.

HPE SmartCarrier Tray

The 846510-B21 is bundled with a HPE SmartCarrier tray that displays the current status of the drive. HPE SmartCarrier trays feature a do not remove button that prevents accidental removal of the drive which is crucial as pulling the drive while the server is writing data to it can cause data loss.
