UltimateServers specializes in end of life server hardware and are capable of sourcing end of life server parts. HPE Server SAS hard drives encrypted with Digitally Signed Firmware protect your data from malicious attacks which includes viruses, accidental data deletion and harmful manipulation of data. HPE Digitally Signed firmware ensures that all drive firmware is downloaded from trusted sources. The 872479-B21 will have a genuine HPE serial number and genuine HPE firmware.

HPE SmartCarrier tray

The 872479-B21 is bundled with a HPE SmartCarrier drive tray which uses System status LED icons to display the current status of the hard drive. HPE SmartCarrier trays feature a spinning activity ring that lights up to indicate that the server is currently writing data to the drive. HPE SmartCarrier trays feature a “do not remove” icon to warn users when removal of a hard drive from the server would cause data loss.
