The HPE P05394-001 is bundled with a HPE SmartCarrier converter tray that converts a 2.5" drive into a 3.5" drive, allowing you to insert the drive in a 3.5" LFF drive bay. HPE SmartCarrier trays use LED icons to display the current status of the hard drive. HPE SmartCarrier drive trays have a green spinning activity ring that lights up when the server is currently writing data to the drive. HPE SmartCarrier trays have a "do not remove" icon which lights up to warn users not to remove the drive from the server.
HPE Digitally Signed Firmware prevents malicious modifications to data which includes destruction of data, manipulation of data and malware. HPE Digitally Signed Firmware does firmware authentication and validity checks to ensure all firmware has been unaltered prior to being downloaded and that you are using a genuine HPE hard drive.
